Monday, October 27th was the third Junior Master Horseman program of the year.
To complete last month's program, 4-Hers presented to the group how many hands their horses are. Each who completed the assignment received a pewter hand lapel pin to place on their lanyards.
"A Monster Mess! Could You Keep a Horse in Your Room?" was the program for the evening.
4-Hers learned what the minimum space requirements are to keep a horse, and what type of facilities make a safe environment. For their next assignment, 4-Hers will survey one or two different horse facilities and score them on how good they think they are based on what they learned. They will bring that information back and present it to the group on November 17th to receive their next pin.
If you would like to participate in the Junior Master Horseman program please plan to attend one of the Saddlebound Kids meetings. Past lessons are available at the meetings or through email.
